A St. Louis for everyone.
"Change doesn’t come by waiting—it’s something we build together, block by block, with a vision for what’s possible."
As your alderperson, I’m proud to stand with you to address the issues that matter most.
From holding absentee landlords accountable by updating our city's charter, to improving infrastructure by getting sidewalks and streets paved, and supporting small businesses, I’ve worked to ensure our neighborhoods have the tools to thrive.
But there’s more to do. I’m fighting for safer streets and sidewalks that connect us—not divide us—and an economy that uplifts businesses and working families alike.
Together, we’ve tackled tough problems and created vibrancy in our community. Let’s continue building a stronger St. Louis.
Safe, clean neighborhoods
Everyone in our city deserves to feel safe in their homes, on their streets, and in their neighborhoods. I work to create a safe community for everyone.
Improving city services
Providing basic services for residents is one of our government's greatest responsibilities. I prioritize making sure constituents receive city services to maintain pride in our community and to support our city's economic growth.
Economic development
Whether you’re running a business or shopping local, you’re strengthening our community. I support inclusive growth and policies that help small businesses thrive.
Affordable housing
Housing is a right. Everyone in our city should have access to safe, stable, and sustainable housing.

St. Louis official pushing for new 'Gateway Card' ID for city residents. Here's what it would do
ST. LOUIS — St. Louis city residents could soon get their very own city ID, if an alderwoman's proposal is approved.
The "Gateway Card" identification would be available to all city residents at no cost, Ward 6 Alderwoman Daniela Velázquez said in her proposal on Friday.
Voters OK St. Louis changes — except more power for aldermen.
Alderwoman Daniela Velázquez, of Shaw, put forward the plan to lift a $500 cap on fines for vacant buildings. She argued that the city needed a bigger stick to go after negligent property owners who have bedeviled city neighborhoods for years.
And 80% of voters agreed on Tuesday.
